Cybersecurity and Cybercrime

Cybersecurity and cyber crime in West Africa: concepts, trends, processes, challenges, and issues at stake for all stakeholders. This session will cover the African Union Convention, the Budapest Convention, national and regional emergency response, as well as developments at the national level and global levels, such as the Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace and the UN General Assembly First Committee processes, the Open-Ended Working Group and the Group of Governmental Experts. It will consider the relationship between cyber crime and cyber security and what capacity is needed at the institutional level to ensure a secure and stable internet.
